If the document gets jammed in the apparatus, the ALARM lamp will light up and the alarm will sound.

If document misfeeding occurs frequently, we suggest you adjust the ADF.

To adjust ADF

Clearing a Document Jam

1. Open the Panel Cover.

2. Remove jammed paper.

3. Close the Panel Cover.

Adjusting the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)

Open the ADF Door and slide the Pressure Adjusting Lever to

the desired position depending on the condition.

Position Condition

1 To prevent feed trouble

2 Standard position

3 To prevent multiple feed trouble
