Recording
Applicable modes:
For details on [Rec] Mode menu settings, refer to P48.
Using this mode, jitter during picture taking is detected, and the camera automatically
compensates for the jitter, enabling jitter-free images to be taken.

Note
•
The stabiliser function may not be effective in the following cases.
Be careful of camera jitter when you press the shutter button.
– When there is a lot of jitter
– When the zoom magnification is high
– In Digital Zoom range
– When taking pictures while following a moving subject
– When the shutter speed becomes slower to take pictures indoors or in dark places
• The setting is fixed to [On] in the following cases.
– When recording in 3D
– In [Self Portrait] and [Handheld Night Shot] in Scene Mode
– When recording motion pictures
• The setting is fixed to [Off] in [Starry Sky] in Scene Mode.

You can take a picture with date and time of recording.
Note
•
Date information for pictures recorded with the [Date Stamp] set cannot be deleted.
• When printing pictures with [Date Stamp] at a shop or with a printer, the date will be
printed on top of the other if you choose to print with the date.
• If the time has not been set, you cannot stamp with the date information.
• The setting is fixed to [Off] in the following cases.
– When recording in 3D
– In [Panorama Assist] and [Flash Burst] in Scene Mode
– [Auto Bracket] and [Burst] in [Rec] Mode menu
– When recording motion pictures
• [Text Stamp], [Resize] and [Cropping] cannot be set for pictures recorded with [Date Stamp]
set.
• Even if you take a picture with [Date Stamp] set to [Off], it is possible to stamp dates into the
recorded pictures using [Text Stamp] (P117) or setup the Date print (P124, 142).
