∫ Strobe Multi-Picture Mode

This function captures and displays a sequence of 9

small still pictures from the playback picture. This is

very convenient for motion analysis of sports action,

animal studies, etc.

Turn the [PUSH] Dial to

select [MULTI-

PICTURES] and then

press the [PUSH] Dial.

The [MULTI-PICTURES]

Sub-Menu appears.

Turn the [PUSH] Dial to

select [SCAN MODE]

and then press the

[PUSH] Dial to select

[STROBE].

Turn the [PUSH] Dial to

select [SPEED] and

then press the [PUSH]

Dial to select the

desired strobe speed.

≥At the [FAST] setting,

the sequence of 9 still

pictures is captured

within approximately

1 second, at [NORMAL]

within approximately

2 seconds, and at

[SLOW] within

approximately

3 seconds.

Press the [MENU]

Button to exit the Menu.

Set the Multi-Picture

Mode before performing

the following steps...

Press the [MENU]

Button.

Start playback, and

when you reach the

scene that you want to

capture and display in

the Strobe Multi-Picture

Mode, pause the

picture.

Press the [MULTI]

Button.

A sequence of 9 still

pictures appears and the

tape stops.

Making the Multi-

Pictures Disappear

Press the [MULTI] Button.

Displaying the Multi-

Pictures Again

Press the [MULTI] Button

for more than 1 second.

Notes for Using the Strobe Multi-Picture Mode

≥The playback multi-pictures cannot be output from the DV Terminal (p. 6) or the

Digital Still Picture Terminal. (p. 7)

≥The quality of the pictures displayed in the Multi-Picture Mode is slightly inferior.

≥On the NV-MX7, the Multi-Picture Mode cannot be used if signals are input from

the DV Terminal. Stop the supply of signals from this terminal.

≥On the NV-MX7, multi-pictures cannot be re-displayed when signals are input

from the S-Video Input/Output Socket or Audio-Video Input/Output Socket.

≥On the NV-MX7, the signals which are input from the S-Video Input/Output Socket

or Audio-Video Input/Output Socket cannot be displayed as multi-pictures.

Swing Mode

If you set [SWING] on the [MULTI-PICTURES]

Sub-Menu to [ON], the intervals at which the still

pictures are captured are longer at the beginning

and end than in the middle of the swing strobe

period.
