Chapter 4 Fax/Email Settings

Fax Parameters

z The contents of Fax Parameter may differ depending on the each country’s regulation or specification.

Setting

00 Print Fax ParameterList Print the Fax Parameter List.

To cancel printing the parameter setting list,

select “Stop” and “OK”.

While processing the cancellation, panel

operation is denied, and an error beep is

produced.

The feeding paper(s) will be ejected before

completing the above cancellation operation.

If setting a parameter, an asterisk mark (*) will

be added before the parameter number.

Stop, Start Start

01 Density (HOME) Set the default density according to the most-

used original.

-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3 0

02 Resolution (HOME) Set the default resolution according to the most-

used original.

z When installing the optional Fax

Communication Board, the standard setting

can be changed.

STD, Fine, S-Fine Fine

03 Original (HOME) Set the default of original type according to the

most-used original.

04 Stamp (HOME) When set to “On”, all successfully transmitted

originals are stamped (Memory or Direct

transmission).

In order not to stamp the memory transmitted

originals, set “28 Stamp At Memory XMT” to

“Invalid”.

05 Memory (HOME) Set the default for Memory transmission.

When set to “Off”, originals are transmitted

directly without being stored into memory first.

06 Dialling Method Select a dialling method according to your

telephone line.

z This feature is available in certain countries

only.
